(this has been in my "to critique pile" for a while now, thought id start to catch up.
First off i would have never thought the back ground was water color! the color is such a deep blue and well...skylike. Good job on keeping the background out off the dragon as well.
The dragon its self is very well shaded and the feathers are proportioned beautifully. The gold ascent below the ear directs the viewers eye to the head and then the feathers keep you going.
The only thing you could improve on in this piece is the neck between the head and the wing joint. The fringe on the lower neck blowing back erases some of the neck, making it look angular. I don't really know how you could fix this either? perhaps draw it coming down like how it is on the under belly.
Overall its an amazing ATC, I'm still in love with back ground. Fantastic job!
